I’ve had a distinct lack of posts lately, and to make up for it here are three super sparkly fancy pics.
The first is my favorite of the set, the third is jarring in a way that seems artistic and the third is a nice light to dark transition pic.

Happy New Years!
In honor of the challenge (and my fondness for all things sparkly) here are the best shots from my frozen action shoot.
I love the prominence of the white bird in both.
I sped up the shutter speed to reduce blur. Even so, it was really difficult to get the light correct and get clear and defined confetti pieces.

My camera arrived yesterday, and I just couldn’t wait to start snapping away. Here are the best pictures from my attempts at capturing light on reflective surfaces. I used only a key light to manipulate and adjust the intensity of the reflections.
The last two shots are almost identical, but I couldn’t decide whether I liked the focus on the pink feathers or the glass perfume bottle in the background.
